Une triste et belle histoire se dessine à l’horizon sur ce blogue dédié aux membres de l’escadrille 425 Les Alouettes.
Il faisait partie de l’équipage du KW-B qui n’est pas revenu.
March 3/4, 1943
18 Halifaxes from 408 and 419 Squadron were joined by 60 Wellingtons from 420, 424, 425, 426, 427, 428, and 429 Squadrons on an attack at Hamburg. The crews were over the target at between 14,000 and 20,000 feet, releasing 133,000 lbs of high explosives and 128,000 lbs of incendiaries. According to reports, the attack was not accurate with some damage being caused.
P/O J. Gauthier RCAF and crew, from 425 Squadron, flying Wellington III BK-344 coded KW-B, failed to return from this operation.
